Organizational Identification Number (Banking & Finance Glossary)

Summary

Companies are generally assigned an organizational ID number (not the same as a Tax ID number) by their jurisdiction of organization. The July 2013 revisions to Section 9-516 of the Uniform Commercial Code eliminate the requirement to provide an Organizational Identification Number on a financing statement.
